Blog Post #1

welcome to my blog fellow aspiring music producers. I am doing this for my genius project because music has always been a big part of my life. My dad has made music and has always exposed me to different types of music. What also really inspired me a couple artist like Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert. These people were able to make it with there music and it inspired me to do the same. By the end of this project I am going to have created a 2-3 min song to present to the class. Here are some examples of the type of music I would be making.

What it looks like to create a song

What it looks like to create a song

Include Song Here:

First Paragraph
There are many steps to creating a song. You have to come up with a lot of ideas and they may not always. But, the hardest part about creating a song is just being creative. after you got a basic melody or drum loop  then it becomes really easy to build from there. Another challenge in producing is finding a good D.A.W.(digital audio workstation) which is basically the thing you work in on your computer to create music. I use FL studio 12 which in my opinion is one of the best and easiest to use but its on the pricier side at $200
(but you can get it for free if you know how to use torrents)

Second Paragraph
Once I have created a melody and  have listened to it a few times I'll start to mess around with the drums and snares until I found something that sounds good. Then Ill build from that and add other elements like reverb and delay and even more instruments. The sky is really the limit.

Third Paragraph
The last part of creating a song is mixing and mastering. Mixing refers to the process of putting multiple layers of audio together to make one final track or to musically modify an existing track. mastering as adding sparkle and shine to your music. Basically like compressing, equalizing, making stereo enhancements or adjusting the reverb.

Top 3 Travis Scott songs.

Top 3 Travis Scott songs

goosebumps:
Goosebumps has to be one of Travis' most well known songs apart from antidote. In my opinion this is one of  his best songs as well. Just everything from the Kendrick feature to the production to the just the whole quality and instruments. It is also a very catchy

Antidote:
Antidote may not be Travis' best song lyrically but it does sound amazing. The synth is made to sound like an electric guitar which is sounds really cool. The booming 808s also sound really nice along with the track.

Oh My Dis Side:
I Love this song by Travis Scott because he actually tells a story of when he was living in houston throughout the song. Its really interesting how he blends storytelling and music and makes it sound good.
